Unexpected Panic is an unexpected journey into the inner workings of the game itself. Bringing humour, surprises and panic to this epic tail of aberration.

Note: This game requires audio, so please have the sound turned up when playing.

Input - WASD = move | Left mouse = Select | Mouse wheel (or R & F keys) = push & pull objects | Shift to sprint | Esc for pause menu (on the PC version)

Made in 9 days by Ian Lindsey for the Acerola Game Jam 0. All 3D assets, code, voice overs and design in this game was created from scratch specifically for this Jam - all hand written PBR shaders too... I will be making a dev log on how this game was made on my YouTube channel too (Ian Lindsey - YouTube)

Can be played in the browser, but if you're experiencing issues or want a smoother experience, then I'd advise you download the PC version (it's only 82Mb so won't take long...)

Enjoy the game! This was a CRAZY amount of work in just over a week, I'm going to have a lie down now...

Brilliant on all fronts, Ian! Funny, compelling, smooth controls. A completely satisfying experience.

A wonderful game. Top tier!!

I added a 'Making of' video for this game - enjoy!

Omg, this is awesome. 20/10. Nothing to add, just fantastic humor, great graphics. A fun game overall. Loved it.

Really fun and well polished game! The first guy never stops talking so I ended up temporarily muting the game, but even if I didn't like him all that much, the game and dialogue was rather entertaining. I think some of the dialogue lines were too close together which led to characters talking nonstop, (but I realize now that you were going for a trover saves the universe vibe). I noticed that you used an effect similar to chromatic aberration you madlad. Felt a little heavy handed when the characters talked about how unexpected things were for the second time or how the word aberration was thrown around, but it was a great experience despite all that!

The theme of the game jam is Aberration, meaning unexpected & unwelcome - that’s the whole premise of the game and why the characters are referring to it.

can't say much about this game. It's masterfully done, the mouse sensitivity was a little too high for my tastes but that's probably a me thing

This game reminds me astrobot. Humor and designs are really similar. A nice submission!

Wow, I'm extremely impressed you were able to code and create all these animations and events in such a short period of time. Kudos! Very great game.

This is a masterpiece

Absolutely beautiful graphics, especially for one person during the timeframe given.

The aberration disease / sneezing mechanics were a little bit annoying given the slightly wonky (on my end, at least) mouse controls. Very Stanley Parable-esque tone. I liked it overall.
